DESCRIPTION: The µPD70335 (V25 Plus) is an enhanced version of the µPD70330 (V35™) single-chip microcomputer providing higher speed (10 MHz) and greater functionality of on-chip peripherals, including DMA, interrupt servicing, bus interface, and serial I/O, Software compatibility with the V35 and the µPD70108/116 (V20®/V30®) in maintained.
Dedicated hardware enables a DMA capability of 3 M-words/second. The provision of an interrupt source register facilitating a vector-type readout function enables interrupt source recognition for register bank switching. Relaxed bus timing allows a 0-wait state interface with 100 µs static memory. The provision of flags to indicate the status of the receive and transmit buffers in the serial interface significantly improves I/O handling efficiency.
